What does an ESG consultant do?+
An ESG consultant helps a business understand stakeholder requirements, assess gaps, organise environmental, social and governance information, and implement an action plan. The engagement can cover strategy, supplier requests, emissions data, reporting or team training.
Is ESG reporting compulsory for every Malaysian SME?+
No. An SME is not automatically subject to the NSRF simply because it operates in Malaysia. Its obligations depend on its circumstances and applicable rules. Customers, lenders and group companies may still request ESG information. Confirm requirements for your entity and reporting period.

Start with the actual questionnaire, submission deadline and required evidence. Identify who owns each answer, distinguish existing practices from planned actions and avoid unsupported claims. Supplier ESG support can help organise this process.
How much does ESG consulting cost in Malaysia?+
Fees depend on sites, company complexity, data availability, deadlines and deliverables. A questionnaire review is different from a group emissions inventory or a sustainability report. Request a written scope covering outputs, assumptions, exclusions and any third-party fees.
Can you guarantee certification or a successful tender?+
No. An advisory engagement should not promise certification, a rating, regulatory acceptance or tender success. Those outcomes depend on independent criteria, evidence and third-party decisions.
What should I prepare for an initial discussion?+
Share your business sector, location, main ESG request, deadline and the records you already have. You can begin with a short description; avoid sending sensitive employee or commercial records through an initial enquiry.
Do you cover businesses outside Kuala Lumpur?+
Our primary service areas are Klang Valley, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang and Seremban. Enquiries are also welcome from every Malaysian state and federal territory. Remote work and any site visits are agreed in the engagement scope.
